Mountain village founded in the Middle Ages. The historical-architectural heritage of the municipality also includes the church of Santa Maria Maggiore, enlarged in 1518 and 1712, the convent of San Francesco, founded in 1588, with the annexed church of Madonna della Pietà, and the castle of Norman origin. The cave of San Michele, which hosted a Benedictine community in the 11th century, remains not far from the town center
