The Church of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ is a place of worship located in Serino, in the hamlet of
San Sossio.
Built in 1550, commissioned by the priest Viola, the Church was once characterized by a
majestic appearance, with columns adorned with carvings, a large fresco in the center of the ceiling of the
central nave and paintings of considerable artistic value, attributed to Francesco Guarini (1611-1651), Angelo

lost many of its architectural and artistic features, it is very dear to the local community,
especially for the presence of the centuries-old lime tree in front of the facade of the church: a tree over 200 years old
with an imposing and luxuriant appearance.
A sacred place of great importance for the community of San Sossio, the Church of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ represents only one of the many religious symbols of Serino. read less
