The wooden altarpiece behind the altar, 2.80 x 1.73 m, is by the painter Iacobus De Antorane and dates back to 1608. Furthermore, inside, you can admire 4 or 5 paintings of a certain interest located to the right of the entrance on the tomb of a Mr. Parisani and in the center on an altar (Byzantine painting with a long and dense Latin inscription underneath for five lines). The large painting on the dome represents a well-made universal judgement with a signature on which you can read "Innocentus Gentile e Carminus De Matina pingerant". Recent restorations have brought to light the frescoes adorning all the walls, among which some figures (sibyls) seem to be of pagan nature. Valuable and interesting are the two stone tombs, dating back to the early 1700s, located on the sides of the entrance. read less
