Inside it houses the statue of the Archangel, now the patron saint of the town, intensely venerated by the people of Senerchia to protect the population of the small village. On the bell tower there is still a bell, probably the oldest in the Region, on which is reported the inscription with the date of 1312. With a decree of the bishop of 6 September 2018, the church was erected as a diocesan sanctuary in consideration of the intense cult of Michael of the population manifested over the centuries.
