Located in the Municipality of Avella (AV), the building is among the oldest places of worship in Avella and dates back to the 11th-12th century AD and was built on the ruins of a Roman building. It has a Romanesque style with Arab-Norman influences. The current layout of the church dates back to the 17th century.
