The Church of Santa Maria Assunta in Cielo is a place of worship located in Frigento, in the historic center of the Irpinia town. The Church may have early Christian origins. The upper structure of the Church is the result of the reconstruction made necessary by the disastrous earthquake of 1732 that almost completely destroyed the former Cathedral.
