On the plateau you reach the edge of a rocky system, just below the peak of Faliesi. The access to the current cave is paved and protected by a retaining wall. The old waste material was used to build two flights of stairs for the large cave. However, you can see an old path towards what the locals call "the seven little rooms of the devil". This term defines a small cave, under the larger one of the current sanctuary and in a complete state of abandonment. The smaller cave could be the original nucleus of the cult of the Angel Michael. You can see clear signs of archaic age constructions, attributable by their composition to the IX-XI centuries. A little higher up is the current sanctuary of the Angel, inside which two altars were built, centrally and towards the top of the cave, one in succession, one with decorations, the other with a tabernacle with the fresco of Saint Michael "weigher of souls".
