It is part of the municipalities of Volturara Irpina and Serino, in the province of Avellino. It represents the highest peak of the mountain range after Mount Cervialto, the latter being only 3 meters higher (1,809 meters). Going up the state road 574 in reverse, that is, from Montella, you come across the Passo Cruci (980 meters) and then you reach the Fosse Giunte e Tasso localities and the Piana del Pizzillo until you reach the Piana di Verteglia (1,230 meters) dominated to the south by Mount Cercetano and Mount Savoceta. The plain is covered
by beech trees and summer pastures fed by springs such as those of Candraloni (1350 m), Madonna (1150 m), Cavalli, Uccelli and Acque Nere. In particular, the waters of the springs fall into the
numerous sinkholes such as Bocca del Dragone.
It should be noted that along the route that leads to Mount Terminio it is possible to
come across numerous butchers and delicatessens, restaurants, agritourism, equipped picnic areas and riding stables.
