The Palazzo della Dogana, built in 1883, carried out its greatest activity during the reign of the Bourbons above all for the sale of cereals from Puglia, but also as the venue for the weekly market and annual fairs. From the 1950s onwards, the building's spaces were used in a somewhat disparate way: from cinema to bus depot, and finally to school.
