With its 120,000 m², in fact, it runs alongside and covers a good part of the course of the Fenestrelle stream, thus re-evaluating an area of Avellino that is still underused. The park includes large green areas, cycle paths, an outdoor amphitheater, a children's play area, a jogging track, tennis courts, five-a-side football, rugby, volleyball, basketball and bowls courts, and a service building. Some projects, such as the idea of a riding stable or refreshment points, have never seen the light of day. In June 2012 the park was closed due to the state of decay and abandonment it was in just two years after its inauguration. Following renovation works to which the park structures were subjected, it was reopened to the public on 18 May 2013. At the same time, the naming ceremony for Antonio Manganelli took place. read less
