A place of cultural and historical interest, the Convent of S. Caterina was built around 1200/1300 by Caterina Sanseverino and is currently inaccessible following the earthquake of November 1980. You can still see part of the ancient cloister, surrounded by the dormitories, the kitchen and the cellar. The Church annexed to the Monastery had a single nave with a central altar.
