The bell tower of San Nicola (14th century) is the only remnant of the former mother church of the town which collapsed in 1857. This church was dedicated to San Nicola, probably built in Romanesque style, it had some altars dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario and to San Nicola, the titular of the church and co-patron of the town.
