Cicerchiamo is a food and wine event that takes place in Frigento, in the summer.
Promoted by the Terra Mater social cooperative and Slow Food, the event aims to promote the cicerchia, a legume typical of local biodiversity and particularly rich in proteins. The intent of the event is also to insert this product in the context of traditional recipes of peasant culture: the cicerchia, in fact, is a particularly versatile ingredient, inserted in many soups and broths, but also cooked in puree or served as a side dish for the zampone. . From the cicerchia, again, the precious flour is also obtained, with which maltagliati and pappardelle of great quality are prepared.
In these three days of fun and convivial atmosphere, stands, taste workshops, spaces for children, tasting areas and producers and areas specially dedicated to "street food" are set up all over the country.
