On Easter Monday every year before the procession in devotion of the Madonna di Montevergine and the Risen Christ, the Calata degli Angeli is held: three children, dressed as angels, are suspended from a wooden support held stretched by ropes between two houses of the central via Roma. The children raise a song dedicated to the Madonna. The tradition began with the work of the parish priest Teobaldo Acone inspired by the identical tradition held every year in the Annunziata district of the municipality of Prata di Principato Ultra. read less
