Sicignano degli Alburni is an Italian town of 3,077 inhabitants in the province of Salerno in Campania. The municipal territory is located between the Tanagro valley and the Alburni mountains, and is largely included in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano national park.

History
The first documentary attestation of Sicignano dates back to a deed of donation of 1086 with which the Norman count Asclettino di Sicignano, lord of Polla, donated the monastery of San Pietro and the church of Santa Caterina, located in the Castrum Pollae, to the abbey of Cava dei Tirreni.
